What is the best shampoo and conditioner for wavy hair most brands seem to relax my waves?

I am currently studying at Paul Mitchell The School and I am on the product rep team. I know quite a bit about hair products and have some advice. Most people just go to the store and pick up the cheapest product. If you want a product that really works. Go professional. I did my own test over the past few years and have tried probably a hundred different store bought lines and a couple professional lines. I am going to Paul Mitchell because I honestly found it to be far far better than any other shampoos or conditioners. Go to a local salon and buy the pro stuff. It may be expensive but it works! They are guaranteed so if you don't like it, take it back. Try TIGI or Paul Mitchell. But Don't buy the fake stuff from the grocery store. It may look the same, but it is not! I promise. If your set on the cheap stuff go ahead and try Aussie one girl said she uses. It's an ok brand, I've tried it. But avoid John Frieda cause it tend to have an off balance pH and damages your hair. And the Head and Shoulders stuff is probably the worst kind out there! It creates a dependency and dries your scalp out worse than before you used it. Aside from the shamp/cond try using curl enhancing products, like gels, blow dryer diffusers, and hairsprays. If you have any other questions, you can email me anytime.

I have wavy/curly long hair. I use Aussie Dual Personality (Root Cleanser + Tip Mender). It rinses clean from my roots (which is what weighs hair down) and helps hydrate my dry ends. It's not just the shampoo/conditioner that you need though. I have a curl spray that helps to keep my curls bouncy and light, also.

You need to find a good volumizing shampoo, try head and sholders, yes its a dandruf shampoo however its got all the igreadents to add alot of volum to your hair.

VO5 is really good, so is Herbal Essence and Finesse. Also, hair falling out can be prevented sometimes if you don't comb tour hair right after washing it. Combing it right away can make hair fall out faster... You should wait a little bit until it is damp, not wet. I use Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Shampoo and Conditioner. It isn't expensive and it smells really good! I have been using it for about a month or two and my hair is really strong now. And it is growing really fast, also my hair is really soft! I highly suggest getting this shampoo and conditioner!
Nioxin. keeps your hair healthy and shiny. It really helps your hair from thinning. I've used it on and off for like two years.


It does wonders for your hair. It gives it body and keeps your hair from breaking.


You can get it at any Ulta or most salons.


Another good shampoo I've used is Redken keeps it soft and very mangeable.

listen i found this stuff you can only buy on qvc shopping channel its called wen products by chez its the bomb it has no soap products in it but i bought a month suppy and my hair was the best it has ever been!! it doesnt lather like shampoo but it cleans your hair and conditions it all at once. google it or go to qvc.com and look under beauty for wen, trust me you wont regret it.

John freda's sheer blonde shampoo and conditioner is AMAZING for blonde hair. It takes all the brassy tones out of your hair and gives them a cool blonde colour! i highly recommend it!

Burts Bees is an excellent line of bath products and cosmetics. They all smell really good. More high end you might want to try Aveda or Origins. You can also just go to any New Age/Health Food store and they usually have a pretty good selection. If you write/e-mail PETA they can send you a brochure with a list of products.
