if you have oily roots, use a light conditioner, also start at the ends of your hair when you use the conditioner then lightly at the roots. also herbal essences makes a split end serum. (red container, probably can find this at walmart) also if you use a blow dryer and straightening iron.. blow dryer your hair 90% of the way dry then let it dry by its self. best way to avoid split ends from the straightening iron is at the end, do it really slow. and that closes the cuticles on the end of your hair.
There's a leave in conditioner called ';Olive Oil.';

It works really well, and hair stylists will give it to you to repair damaged hair in under a month before dying your hair.

You could probably look into buying it online or at a local beauty salon.

Nearly any deep conditioner with olive oil will work for you.
Use a clarifying shampoo on your whole head.

Professional: Pureology Clarifying (green bottle)

Drug-store: Herbal Essences (not sure what its called)

Use a deep moisturizing conditioner but DO NOT APPLY TO ROOTS! Flip over your head to apply.

Professional: L'oreal Professional: Absolute Repair

Drug-store: Pantine (not sure whats its called)
i have the same problem, and i use garnier fructis:for oily roots%26amp;dry ends.

works like magic.

*keep in mind that i have naturally pin-straight hair.
Herbal Essence's Drama Clean, works like a dream. It's about 2 or 3 bucks in local drug stores.

Hope I helped :)
