Best haircare shampoo and conditioner?

I can't decide whether to get Kerastase or is something like Fredderick Fekkai better? Somehow I can't justify spending 拢20 on a bottle of shampoo. My hair is highlighted and gets greasy quickly.Best haircare shampoo and conditioner?
Kerastase is an amazing brand of shampoo, but way over priced. I think the aussie range is great... they have a wide variety of different shampoos that do different things... check it out! :)Best haircare shampoo and conditioner?
Actually John Frieda is not good for your hair. Hair is naturally acidic and John Frieda products have a high alkali pH which is bad for your hair, as it opens up the cuticles and strips the hairs oils. If you get a product with an acidic pH, it smooths and clothes the cuticles and is better for the hair. Paul Mitchell products are good for this reason.

You really don't want to use Head %26amp; Shoulders shampoo because it's so harsh on your hair. Apart from shampoo you can use H%26amp;S shampoo to clean your oven, strip paint and even as weak perm solution! So, if you have coloured hair, it will strip your colour out. Depending on what bleach/colour is used to highlight your hair, it could potentially damage your hair.

Pantene is also pretty bad for your hair, DON'T use on greasy hair because it's full of silicone which coats your hair and makes it appear greasy. If you magnify the scalp of someone who uses Pantene it looks as though it's covered in cling film. Doesn't do any favours for thin hair!

Yes, 拢20 sounds pretty extortionate for a bottle of shampoo, but if you buy a salon brand shampoo from a hair salon, you only have to use a 50p sized blob of shampoo so it ends up lasting much longer than a normal supermarket or shop brand. If you buy a shampoo from a salon it shouldn't quite cost 拢20, more in between 拢8-12 pounds. If you go into your local salon and ask your stylist to recommend you a shampoo they will be able to help you, as you are looking for a shampoo which will keep your highlights a nice colour AND be suitable for greasy-type hair. TIGI do a good range and many salons stock these products, but as I said, your stylist will be able to recommend you a product. Lemon-based shampoo is good for oily hair.

Your hair may be made even greasier down to the technique you use to wash it. I know with greasy hair you might want to wash it every day but it can actually make it even greasier. The natural oils on the hair, sebum, can be over-produced with too much stimulating the scalp (basically, all that rubbing on your scalp when you wash your hair can make it even greasier). So washing it slightly less frequently can actually make it less greasy! Don't use very hot water to wash your hair - it can produce more oil again.

Hope that helped!

my hair is also highlighted and gets greasy quite quick. i have to wash it everyday!! :-(

i have recently started using Dove intensive treatment shampoo (not the conditioner with it) and it is working really well. my hair looks cared for AND does not get greasy as quick. in fact i've woken up next day and it still doesnt look as greasy as with most.
I would recommend products by Lush. They do a wonderful range of liquid shampoo solid shampoo bars that specialize in different hair types. All the products are made with natural ingredients so they won't dry out or damage your hair with chemicals.

I suggest you browse through the hair care section of the website. The solid shampoo bars last as long as 3 bottles of regular shampoo so money is not a problem. Just lather the bar up on your hair, as you do with soap on your body, and wash out. They also so solid conditioners.

I would really recommend these products as they work wonders!

Hope this helps
